“Talkin’ ‘Bout You”
Song by Ray Charles
As one of Ray Charles’ many famous R&B classics of the 1950s, “Talkin’ ‘Bout You” is a funky and rocking song that featured prominently in his early career. It first jumped out of record players across America in January 1958 on the A-side of an Atlantic single. This studio version was then added to the compilation LP Yes Indeed! later that same year.
Also in 1958, a rowdy live version of “Talkin’ ‘Bout You” was released on the album Ray Charles At Newport. This version was then released on a single six years later, long after Ray had left Atlantic.
