“Feelin’ Sad” was the A-side of an early Ray Charles single released in 1953. The B-side of “Feelin’ Sad” was “Heartbreaker”. When Atlantic released three compilation albums in the late 1950s of all his great R&B singles, “Feelin’ Sad” was excluded. So, after not appearing on Ray Charles, Yes Indeed!, or What’d I Say, “Feelin’ Sad” was finally added to the clean-up album The Genius Sings The Blues in 1961.
